 Ahhhhhh my week off is ending soon and I am sad:( I could be a stay at home non-mom forever and never be bored...but I would be broke so that is not good.  I am in the middle of a few projects and do not know why I am posting them unfinished but hopefully that will motivate me to finish them. I am making a 365 book that was inspired by the kit Becky Higgens sold. It created an outrage on her site when they were sold out within 1 day. People were selling her initial kit on ebay for $200 after that. I am doing my own cheap version with a $3 binder and photo page inserts. I know now that 365 is totally unrealistic for me so it will be a version of that in some way.

 Oh and that is Benji on the couch in my room helping me craft. Poor little guy, I have soooooo much stuff in here and the floor is slippery. he went to jump up on the couch, he slipped and a pile of craft crap fell on him.........scared the poor little guy!

Ok my new trainer will be here is a half hour to kick my ass!!!!!! aaahhhhhh!!!!!

Couple of things I have made over the years.

 I am LOVING this February break It is awesome not working! I am feeling really inspired and loving having the time to create stuff.  Here are a few samples of stuff I have made.

1. Detail from 1st painting I ever did in grade 10 or eleven. {Kass we will not even mention the butterfly} It is a detail from the Sistine Chapel. We were only allowed to mix our colors with the three primaries and of course our shades with white and black.

2. Detail of Large format B&W print.  This was waaayyyyy back in the day of film photography. I processed the film myself and printed the large format print in a huge bath of chemicals.

3. Detail of an unfinished painting. There are a million of those lying around!

4. An actual finished mixed media piece.

5. A small 5x5 mixed media piece.  Thinking of doing a children's series  along these lines but who know's I do not have kids and am not really into the whole kid thing at this point in my life.

Perfect Morning

 I love mornings like today. I am up early all the dogs have been outside and are back sleeping in their spots, Kim is still sleeping, I have had 2 cups of coffee and alone time on the computer to read my favourite blogs! 

 My post was short yesterday cause I had to run, but yes we are going back to CT, NYC and then making a side trip to North Carolina. We have booked our trip for the last week of july and the first week of August. I am already making a list of the stuff I want to see and do ( oh and so is Kim)!

1. Want to see a taping of a show....SNL, Live with Regis, Martha Stewart, Tyra ANYTHING really!!!!

2. Go to Brooklyn

3. Visit Etsy headquarters and see if there is a workshop going on I could take.....ooohh maybe I can get some PD money for that!!!!!

4. Guggenheim

5. Meet someone famous. Last time we were there I was dying to see anyone and we saw nobody. I get back to school and this little grade 7 girl in my class was all " Oh I saw Meriah Carey and Miley Cirus" I don't care if they are as cheesy as Meriah and Miley.....I want to see someone!

Oh and our NC adventure. My dream is to visit North Carolina! No real reason as to why however it is just a place that seems beautiful and wonderful and I need to see it! If anyone reading has any suggestions for NC please leave a comment. We are renting a car in CT and driving down to NC for the first week. A little American road trip! I really want to meet people our age and from NC...don't ask me why I just do!

 Well it is official we are going back to the east coast this summer! I can hardly wait! More details to come. I gotta run!

Happy V Day!

 Well I am having a lovely Valentine's day despite my hubby being away working at the moment. He will be home tomorrow and then maybe I will get some discount flowers!!!! Since he rarely reads this blog I can post what I am working on right now.....a little scrapbook of our honeymoon. I started a clear acrylic album a long time ago but it was wrecking my pages so I went to Michaels today and got 2 8x8 albums on sale! I have decided i will probably never be a 12x12 scrapper it just is not for me. What am I talking about I am not even a scrapper! this is like my 3rd album I have ever done and the first 2 were kits that explained everything for you!

Oh and I went to old Navy and bought Benji and St. Patrick's day t-shirt...that is right he is wearing a PINK St. Patty's day shirt on Valentines day!

 I went to the gym today and did my favourite class, physique.It was an 8:30 Saturday morning class and it was great. I have decided I would be soooo much more productive if I did not work. Last night I cleaned the house, ate a good diner and this morning I went to the gym, went shopping and now I am completing something I started back in August! I guess I cannot complain being a teacher means I get a lot of holidays!!! I have a week off now and then another in April. Only 4 months till summer break! YEAH!!!!

Speaking of school my students are having a BIG art show next week. It is at SCYAP in Saskatoon and it will be up for 4 weeks. The reception is on the 26th from 6-9 if you are interested in coming out! My van is currently full of stuff for the show that I am hanging next Saturday!

 OK back upstairs to continue the album!

TODAY

 Well I just trued out my new Tracy Anderson Dance cardio DVD and Wow I suck!!! She has a lot of choreography that is good but a little hard. As well the DVD player in the basement is not working so I was doing it from my laptop upstairs with 3 dogs around me. They were looking at me like I was totally and completely nuts. Oh well, better luck next time!

 I went our for diner with my mom tonight b/c she is leaving for Mexico for a month. It is soooo cold out I would like to go along for the trip!

 Kim is away in Nipiwan on duty until Sunday which means I have the house to myself again! Tomorrow is Friday and the last day before the break. 1 week off yeah!!!!!!!

 For some reason the ladies  that made the cupcakes for my wedding called and asked for a pic....well this is the only one I have!
